Salvos Stores is introducing Australia’s first automated textile sorting and decommissioning system in 2026.
Located in Carole Park QLD, world leading Belgian technology will assist with the sorting and processing of large volumes of unsellable garments every year, enabling highly sorted ingredients for recycling at scale. This capability will allow us to offer take back recycling services for uniforms and other un-resalable clothing and textiles. Knowing we'll have reliable, consistent and clean bales of textiles available by the tonne or container, textile and fibre recyclers can also plan to trial and scale.
