This commemorative shield-shaped ceramic charger plate produced for a Grand Chapitre gala event held by the Western Australia Bailliage of La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs.
Stamp on the back:
- 1800–1998 (Production Date): Dudson stamps their items with a date range starting from 1800 (the year the company was founded in Stoke-on-Trent). The ending year changes every calendar year on their factory line to date the piece. The plate was manufactured in 1998 for that year's Perth gala.
- Duraline / Finest Vitrified: This indicates the plate is made from Dudson's proprietary high-density, vitrified clay body. It is fired at extremely high temperatures to ensure it is completely non-porous, highly resistant to chipping, and incredibly durable.
- BS 4034: This is the official British Standard certification for water absorption and vitrification resistance in hotel and industrial tableware, proving it meets strict professional catering standards.
- Stoke-on-Trent, England: This confirms it was manufactured in England's famous "Potteries" district. Dudson was one of the oldest independent family-owned pottery brands in England before the original factory closed in 2019.
