Antique 9ct Gold Cross Pendant - Hand Engraved Foliate - Star-Set Garnet
This is a stunning piece of historic craftsmanship from early 20th-century (Edwardian era).
The gold cross pendant features hand engraved foliate / ivy leaf details at the terminals, a symbol of enduring affection, with a vibrant red gemstone (likely garnet or ruby doublet) set into a starburst setting in the centre.
The pendant is solid 9ct yellow gold (hallmarked on reverse) and weighs 2 grams.
The included 50cm curb link chain has a Nakagawa (NS in diamond) maker's mark, and is gold plated costume jewellery. It is included free of charge so that the piece is ready to wear.
This truly beautiful heirloom piece is in excellent vintage / antique condition with an authentic patina that highlights the depth of the engravings.
The cross is approx. 3.75 cm high x 2.75 cm wide
