This preowned first edition copy of Bailliere’s New South Wales Gazetteer and Road guide published in 1866 is in fair condition. It includes historical information on locations in the colony, being an early reference work documenting colonial Australian geography genealogy and pastoral history.
Note that this volume was originally published “with map”, though this copy does not have it. The original cloth binding is in a good condition, however note that the title originally printed on the spine has faded away. Internal pages are in fairly good condition (hardly any foxing) though page edges show a bit of staining and there are a few edge ‘tears’.
The book contains some fabulous advertisements from the era it was printed.
