Scarce 1963 first edition of Beyond A Boundary by C.L.R. James, published by Hutchinson & Co., London.
Original Peter Chadwick designed dust jacket.
Widely regarded as one of the most important and influential books ever written about cricket. It combines sporting history with memoir, Caribbean culture, politics and social commentary.
Condition: good vintage condition for its age. Original dust jacket shows age-related rubbing, edge wear and general handling. Foxing is present, particularly to the jacket flaps/end areas. Interior pages appear generally well preserved. Does include a 1965 school presentation plate to the front.
