It has 3 volume levels, LOUD, kinda loud and pretty quiet.

Turning it on; press the Red power button, it will play part of the intro song and welcome you to their book.
Turning it off: press the Red power Button, it will play the part of the outro song.
(I thought it was broken when it didn’t shut off right away but it plays the song and says “Goodbye” and then turns off)

Battery Compartment is perfect.
All buttons work. Including Volume, very important for parents.
No tearing, stains, water damage, folds, writing or discolouration.
I don’t know why this has been donated, maybe to get rid of it without the kid knowing? It is in Perfect condition.
