A stunning vintage Carrigans Invicta Gold Medal Mill 100% Lambswool Pile blanket, featuring a beautiful and ornate Chandelier pattern with an elegant vintage floral design. Dimensions measure 2.04m by 2.02m.
The blanket is reversible, with two beautifully coordinated colourways. One side features vibrant shades of purple, plum, crimson and pink, while the reverse has a softer palette of pale pink, pink and soft purple. Both sides showcase the intricate floral pattern beautifully.
The blanket is finished with a purple/plum binding around the edges. The binding extends approximately 70mm at each end, adding an unusual and distinctive feature to this impressive piece.
It is a quite heavy, substantial blanket, with the luxurious feel and warmth associated with a quality lambswool pile.
The blanket is in good vintage condition overall, with some small stains on one side. One stain is approximately 4cm in diameter, with a further group of three small stains. Further, there is a small imperfection in the wool in one spot. Please refer to the photographs for close-up images of these marks.
These imperfections have been taken into account in the description and are reflected in the photographs.
A beautiful and distinctive vintage blanket with rich colours, an ornate floral design and a lovely substantial weight. It would make a wonderful addition to a vintage textile collection or could be displayed as a striking decorative throw.
