Vintage 1972 Australian pressed album on the Reprise label free button in fairly good condition.
The gatefold album cover designed to look like a 12 page local English newspaper. The album contains a single continuous piece of music, split over two sides of the LP. It was intended as a parody of the concert album genre, following critics wrongly labelling their previous album Aqualung as a concept album. The elaborate packaging features a fictional story about an eight year-old genius named Gerald Bostock, who supposedly wrote the epic poem that the albums lyrics are based on.
The album was a critical and commercial success, becoming Jethro Tull first number one album in the US.
