This early leap pad is fantastic,
Sounds, fully adjustable volume ranging from mouse quiet to annoying fire truck loud.
The ergonomics on this early Leap Pad are great.
Built in removable cushion, adjustable straps on cushion for firm or soft fits, sturdy carry handle which is good since the case is a bit snug, pulling cartridges out is easy since they hang out of the back a bit.
The Books are not necessary to run each cartridge as each “Go” button on the book that tracks which page you are up to in the book is on a different spot per page, so you can skip to later pages at anytime, or even run the programs without the book attached so you can read along with your child in your lap and have the leap pad for a secondary effect.
Sometimes the cartridge won’t run on the first insertion, pull it out and back in again, it will work on the 2nd or 3rd insert, if it doesn’t try blowing on the terminals.
All Cartridges worked at time of testing.
Some books have a generic and happy “Good Bye” while others have a character from the book say “Good Bye” or “Ta-ta for now” in Winnie the Pooh’s case.
Condition:
Touch pad is fully responsive.
Battery Terminals are clean.
No cracks or weakening in plastic parts.
Scratches on blue body at the bottom of the device, is not on the touch pad, is purely cosmetic damage.
Dirt smudges on bottom of bag.
Dora the explorer and little engine that could are a bit finicky.
