Meditating Buddha on Jade Base - from Cowell, South Australia
This vintage Australian souvenir piece features a ceramic Buddha/monk figurine mounted on a genuine slice of Cowell Nephrite Jade from South Australia.
The base has a raw unpolished edge showing off the natural texture, with a smooth cut face that shows the deep green hue of the jade.
The original factory label is still on the smooth side.
In good vintage condition, the Buddha has some paint flakes on the black hair (see photo).
It stands approx. 15 cm high x 7 cm wide x 8 cm deep.
