Vintage Sterling Silver & Paua Shell Tie Clip - circa 1960's
This is a beautiful piece of vintage "Kiwiana" dating from mid 20th century. The alligator style tie clip features a classic New Zealand kiwi bird motif on a textured silver wing shaped background.
The reverse side of the pin is clearly stamped with the traditional "STG SIL" hallmark, guaranteeing solid sterling silver.
It is in wonderful vintage condition, with the shell inlay free from cracks or fractures. The grip mechanism is tight and functions properly. There is a vintage silver patina on the backing of the kiwi.
It is approx. 4 cm long.
