Cricket 22 is a cricket video game developed by Big Ant Studios and published by Nacon. It is the official video game of the 2021-22 Ashes series of cricket matches and teh sequel to the 2019 game Cricket 19. The game was released on December 2, 2021, as a curtain-raiser prior tot he start of the Ashes series held in Australia in December 2021.
Cricket 22 introduces a revamped bowling and fielding controls, a new "Direct-Hit" system for fielding and a new tutorial system for newcomers.
It also features an all-female commentary team for all women's cricket matches for the first time in the series. The game includes fully-licensed teams from Australia, England, The West Indies, New Zealand and Ireland and offers a deep narrative-driven career mode. it is the most detailed simulation of the sport that Big Ant has ever created with tutorials that make it easier for new players to get into the game.
