he Pentax Z-70 (also known as the PZ-70) is a more advanced successor to the Z-10, released in 1995. It introduced several creative features and improved handling for amateur photographers.
Creative Modes: While the Z-10 primarily offered Program and Manual modes, the Z-70 includes Aperture Priority (Av) and Shutter Priority (Tv) modes, plus dedicated scene presets like Portrait, Landscape, and Close-up.
Metering: Uses a more advanced six-segment multi-pattern metering system with newer lenses, compared to simpler systems in earlier models.
Power Features: Retains the power-zoom features and includes an auto-lens retract function when the camera is turned off.
