This is a rear collection of Pit Ponies in Australian Col Mines Belt Buckles.
This amazing collection of commemorative pewter belt buckles celebrating the use of pit ponies in Australian coal mines which was issued by the C.F.M.E.U.
There are 4 buckles in this collection highlighting individual ponies and mines from various time periods.

Buckle 1 “COLLINSVILLE” Late 1980’s
This buckle has possibly the last 2 ponies from this mine as the Collinsville mining operation retired there pony devision in the early 1990’s

Buckle 2 “NEBO” Late 1980’s
This buckle has 1 miner standing next to his pony and from the late 1980’s

Buckle 3 “ULAN” mid 1970’s Mary
This buckle has a miner and cart with a pony named Mary on it and is from the mid 1970’s

Buckle 4 “NORTH BULLI NO 2” Early 1970’s
This buckle shows a miner from North Bulli along with 2 pit ponies at the entrance of a mine shaft.
