Compiled and adapted by J Walker Mcspadden, who designed the collection to introduce younger readers to the world of Charles Dickens. He isolates the most famous youth and child characters, extracting their specific story arcs while staying faithful to the author’s original language and spirit. Includes stories from Oliver Twist, Nicholas Nickleby, The Old Curiosity Shop, Dombey and Son, Great Expectations, Little Dorris, and David Copperfield. The book also features period illustrations.
The spine is a bit damaged, and the pages have age spots, but overall fairly good for a book that is 120 years old.
