Vintage lovely preowned heavily embellished black jacket featuring intricate beadwork embroidery, 3-D floral textures, and enhanced stitched seed beads. Very popular as an evening jacket during the late 1980s and 1990s for formal, cocktail, and black tie events.
Made from 100% silk, the jacket design features an open front collarless silhouette structure and a rich, multidimensional texture. Whilst label tag has been removed. The jacket as sitting on the mannequin appears to be an Australian size medium/large.
The label “Sunu” was distributed via speciality boutique lines and classified as formal evening/Opera wear or cocktail attire.
Note this items extreme weight due to heavy, dense glass bead work and layered ribbon embroidery. The 100% silk foundation, handstitched sequence, and intricate threads are prone to snagging tearing and shedding beads under any friction. The jacket features and open front with no heavy duty wind closure like a zipper and closed by a single clasp at the neckline.
