Tegami Bachi is about a world known as Amberground which is locked in darkness, with a man made Star casting a dim light over the land. This pitch black wilderness is infested with Gaichuu- colossal insects with metal exoskeletons. These Gaichuu make travel between the cities of Amberground extremely dangerous but thankfully the ‘Letter Bees’, a brave corps of messengers risk their lives in order to keep the hearts those of Amberground connected.
Volume 1- Letter and Letter Bee
The journey that inspires the main character to become a letter bee.
Volume 2- The letter to Jiggy Pepper
The main character is close to becoming a Letter Bee but first must pass his final interview on the journey there he makes a new friend and encounters some trouble.
Volume 3- Meeting Sylvette Suede
Main character breaks the record time on his Letter Bee test, securing a job as a Letter Bee! But celebration is cut short as he finds out his inspiration for becoming a Letter Bee is no longer on. So he goes on a journey to meet his hero’s sister only to find she has no idea where he is besides memories and a broken heart
Volume 4- A Full of Lies
Now a rookie the main character meets Dr.Thundercloud a peculiar man who collects and catalogues the various Amberground species. When the doctor takes interest in a companion the main character and friends have to hustle to keep their companion off the doctor’s dissection table. This pays off as the doctor informs the main character that his hero paid the doctor a visit before his disappearance.
