Pre-owned in good to very good condition hardcover with dust cover vintage book reprint (1967), updated from original first 1653 print ( The Compleat Angler) and 1577 (The Arte of Angling). Published together in one volume first time in 1676. Original Oxford University Press edition first published together in 1935. This edition is 4th edition printed 1967.

This is a classic 17th century work celebrating the joys of fishing and the English countryside featuring the complete angler along with the art of angling by an unknown hand.

The Compleat Angler is a dialogue between a hunter and a fisherman on the art of fishing, and incidentally a recreation of country life in England in a pre-industrial age. This addition includes a modernised text of the Arte of Angling, a single copy book discovered in 1954 in the USA.

Book comes in very good condition. Note owners name inked on opposite inside front cover. Dust cover slightly torn on upper left front cover and top of spine (see photos)
