Beautiful vintage oval brooch featuring a large polished pale green cabochon with attractive natural-looking mottled and cloudy variations. The stone is securely claw-set within an ornate gold-tone floral surround, creating an elegant vintage look.
The green cabochon has the appearance of jade/serpentine-type stone, however the exact material has not been professionally tested and is therefore not guaranteed similar vintage pieces were also produced using jade-effect glass.
The reverse features an open-backed setting allowing the colour and pattern of the cabochon to be seen, together with a traditional pin fastening.
Unsigned/no visible hallmarks. Pre-owned condition with age-related wear and patina to the metal as shown in photographs.
