Vintage Jewel Crest Aurora Borealis(AB) Crystal Flower Brooch - Donald Simpson Mid-Century Costume Jewellery
This authentic Jewel Crest brooch was designed and handcrafted in Australia by Donald Simpson during the 1950's/60's.
This highly collectible piece features an arrangement of multi-faceted aurora borealis coated beads that catch the light beautifully with iridescent flashes of colour.
The sought after authentication of a crisp "JEWEL CREST" signature cartouche is stamped clearly on the reverse.
The brooch is in very good condition - the silver metal finish is bright with zero verdigris, and the crystal beads retain their brilliance and sparkle.
There is one bead (refer photograph) where the AB coating has flaked/scratched off.  It is at the back of the brooch near the bottom.
The original pin mechanism is secure and it has it's original safety chain attached.
The brooch is approx. 5 cm wide and 7 cm tall.
