Background & Significance:
- The Legacy: The Kmart Racing Team operated under the Tom Walkinshaw Racing (TWR) umbrella in the early 2000s, running Holden VX and VY Commodores.
- The Number 51: Greg Murphy began using the #51 in the 2001 season. This specific car number achieved historic status in 2003 when Murphy set his legendary "Lap of the Gods" qualifying pole position at Mount Panorama, subsequently winning the Bathurst 1000 alongside co-driver Rick Kelly.
