In extremely good condition, this is a vintage glow mesh white enamel mesh clutch purse with gold tone hardware, nestled inside its original branded burgundy box. Purse is complete with the original matching glow mesh vanity mirror, and ” made in Australia” tag. In addition it comes with card stating purchase date, May 6, 1976.
Signature interlocking tiles are made of lightweight brass or Aluminium metal and the metal links have been coated in a durable, baked on white enamel paint which gives them their glossy ceramic like finish. The gold tone structural frame and kiss lock closure at the top are constructed from solid brass or heavily gold plated metal. Pristine interior satin lining.
Glomesh was founded in Bondi, Sydney, in 1958. This specific vintage white enamel glow clutch purse was most likely manufactured during the 1970s disco era.
Original box in good condition, with a few creases and scuffing (see photo).
