Shorter & Son Ltd. – Vintage Art Pottery 'Fish Ware' – Stoke-on-Trent, England

Dive into a piece of ceramic history with this stunning Vintage Shorter & Son Fish Ware Serving Platter. Dating from the mid-20th century (c. 1930s-1950s), this three-section dish is a highly sought-after example of classic British Art Pottery from the famed Stoke-on-Trent potteries. It features three beautifully moulded and richly glazed fish swimming among aquatic foliage in a vibrant Majolica-style finish of blues, purples, and rich gold. Perfect as a statement piece for serving dips, condiments, or seafood, or simply displayed as an authentic Art Deco/Mid-Century collectible.

Condition:

Excellent Vintage Condition. This piece shows minimal signs of age and use expected for pottery over 70 years old. The glaze is exceptionally bright and glossy with no major crazing. No chips, cracks, or significant repair are present. The underside features the genuine Shorter & Son Ltd. Stoke-on-Trent England backstamp. A truly superb example of this desirable "Fish Ware" line.
