Vintage Solid 925 Sterling Silver Oval Locket Necklace - 60 cm Heavy Thick Chain - circa 1970s/80s
This beautiful vintage engraved oval locket is paired with a heavy Italian chain, both stamped 925 sterling silver, and the chain stamped ITALY with maker's mark. It is a substantial piece of jewellery with a combined weight of 22 grams.
The locket has engraved etching on both sides in a floral/scroll design.
The piece is in excellent vintage condition - the hinge and catch work perfectly and close securely. Note: the internal frames that hold the photos in place are no longer present, but photos could be secured using jewellery tape. There is a vintage patina inside the locket. The lobster claw clasp is smooth closes securely.
The locket is approx. 4 cm high (excluding bail) x 3 cm wide, and the chain is approx. 60 cm.
