Vintage WaterWorth Hobart 5 inch projector lens


Manufacture - Hobart Tasmania by E. N. Waterworth.

Function - Single-coated optical lens explicitly designed for the use in vintage 35 mm slide or film projectors 

Focal length - marked 5" (5 inches roughly 127 mm) on the barrel.

Build - Known for its classic, robust all-silver aluminum body construction

These lenses were Australian standard from 1940s to 1960s.

Today popular among vintage camera enthusiasts to adapt to modern mirror-less digital cameras for the unique optuical qualities and retro aesthetics

Condition - Lens is in good-fair condition for age with no chips or cracks. Dint on the beveled edge which may interfere with removal of the Lens retaining ring. Lens does need cleaning. There are no visible scratches or fungus to the naked eye but lenses do need a clean.
