Preowned, in excellent condition, this 2nd AIF unit patch, specifically representing the 2nd AIF Signal Corps features a horizontal blue over white/cream design inside a purple field, framed by a green border on a battleship grey triangular wool felt backing. This patch was worn on the sleeves of the military tunic or slouch hat by signalers and support units during World War II.
Based on research this patch appears a consistent with authentic World War II construction methods. Those being, the distinct stitching passion, back in fabric, and lack of modern synthetics.
