Salvos Christmas Appeal 2023

23/10/2023

Every 17 seconds, someone comes to The Salvation Army for help.

Christmas is the busiest time of the year for many of our centres. Our teams work hard to go above and beyond to ensure Christmas is a time for celebration and not a time of crisis.

That’s why we are appealing for a donation of $10 which in addition to the profits generated from the items you purchase through our store network will enable us to help those who need it most.

Christmas can be stressful and isolating for many people experiencing hardship, especially in light of the current cost of living crisis.

Research shows 7 in 10 Australians agree their mental health is being impacted by the rising cost of living. Unable to afford basic staples or travel to see loved ones, many vulnerable Aussies risk becoming lonely and disconnected during the festive season.

Below are some examples of what funds raised from our Christmas Appeal will go on to support.

You can find out more about The Salvation Army’s Christmas Appeal as well as resources to help those in need during this time of year here: https://www.salvationarmy.org.au/christmas/

We appreciate your ongoing support!

Happy Christmas.

Through our commitment to reconciliation, The Salvation Army acknowledges the First Nations peoples of Australia as the traditional custodians of this land. We further acknowledge and pay our respects to past and present Elders, giving thanks for their wisdom that has sustained their people since the beginning of time, and we pledge to support emerging and future generations
