Weddings can be a very wasteful and costly affair, with the dress being the ultimate wear once item. Did you know the Australian wedding industry generates over 2 billion dollars annually – with many weddings costing in excess of $20k...not to mention the 'stress to impress'!
At Salvos Stores, we believe that second-hand never, ever has to mean sacrificing style. So why can't a charity store offer the same elements a mainstream retailer can, including a luxe bridal experience!?
The dresses and the divine trimmings surrounding them in the boutique are all second hand, so many of the gowns have never even been worn, yet wonderfully, they are around the $500 mark or under! Even the flowers are second hand...rescued by slow florist Monique from The Bloom Movement.
We had the pleasure of showing ‘The Today Show’ a behind-the-scenes exclusive in our boutique which will air on Friday 8th February, so keep an eye out! Our lovely local bride-to-be, Teegan got to test drive the concept and ended up finding her dream dress!! Can you guess which one she chose!? Keep an eye out on my instagram for more details as they come to hand.
