Antique Silver Plated Tablespoons - Fiddle, Thread & Shell Pattern - circa 1895This beautiful matching pair of late-Victorian silver plated spoons are from Ainsworth, Taylor & Co, Birmingham, England and feature the very collectable Fiddle, Thread and Shell pattern with shell motrtifs on both the front and back of the handles and the reverse of the bowls.Tradition large tablespoon size - perfect for table serving spoons. They are in fair to good antique condition - the silver plating is intact with no base metal bleeding through; have an authentic aged patina with minor surface tarnish and wear consistent with their 130 year history, and should polish up beautifully if you prefer a bright finish. They are both fully stamped on the reverse with the clear "A T & Co" gothic pseudo-hallmarks, and the "A" circle grade mark - signifying top tier A1 heavy plating quality.
