This 2 piece Kenneth Pirtie white cotton nightgown and robe set, preowned and in very good condition, is a stunning piece of vintage loungewear, heavily inspired by classic romantic, Victorian and Prairie aesthetics. This size 12 ensemble features detailed lace panelling framing a plunging neck line, long sleeves and crocheted lace cuffs, and a delicate front button closure on the robe layer. Historically and technically, this ensemble is a peignoir set. Traditionally, sets like these were bought as bridal lingerie for a honeymoon or a wedding night trousseau. This outfit is also still highly sought after for pre-wedding photography while a bride gets her hair and make-up done.
Kenneth Pirrie is a respected Australian historic label, local vintage enthusiasts specifically search for his romantic designs.
