This beautiful mid-century (circa 1950s-70s) dual-purpose brooch and necklace pendant features a unique, clever design. The front showcases a natural green-blue Peruvian chrysocolla cabochon set in an openwork frame - turn the piece over, and the reverse side reveals a hidden cut-out design of the traditional Incan Tumi depicting the mythical king Naymlap—an ancient Peruvian symbol of protection, strength, and good luck. The piece is approx. 35mm in diameter. Hallmarked "925" on the bail Good vintage condition with a beautiful natural patina. The stone is structurally sound and secure, but there are minor chips around the very edge of the stone consistent with its age and natural softness, which do not distract from its beauty.
