4 pcs Rare  Vintage Wedgwood & Co. "Cardinal" Octagonal Plate – Art Deco 1930s

Description:

Wedgwood & Co. Octagonal Plate – "Cardinal" Pattern – Enoch Wedgwood (Tunstall) Ltd., England

This is a magnificent and highly collectible piece of genuine Art Deco ceramics from the esteemed Wedgwood & Co. England. The plate features the striking "Cardinal" pattern, known for its geometric border panels, vivid floral motifs, and rich cobalt blue well. Its unusual octagonal shape makes it a standout display piece for a china cabinet or a truly unique addition to a vintage dinner service. Own a piece of English ceramic history that effortlessly bridges the gap between classic craftsmanship and bold, mid-century design.

Condition: Excellent Vintage. The plate displays a beautiful, consistent glaze and very vibrant colours. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs. As is common with earthenware of this vintage, there is fine, age-appropriate craquelure (fine hairline surface cracking under the glaze) visible, primarily on the reverse. The glaze in the central blue well is strong.
