This ship is seen in the opening of the 3rd Episode and is left behind after an emergency crash landing inside a hanger on the “Invisible Hand”, General Grievous’s flag ship, where both Anakin’s and Obi-wan’s Eta-2 Starfighters are presumably destroyed as the Flag ship splits in half upon entering Coruscant’s atmosphere.
This Red/ Burgundy and Grey Eta-2 is replaced by a Blue and Grey one later in the film, along with another red astromech droid.
The first version of this toy was done just before the release of the movie as a glimpse of what was coming and was Anakin’s in Yellow and Grey, however, this toy is the Second Version; Released as/ after the movie came out to cinemas this version is Obi-wan’s Red and Grey starfighter with battle damage from the battle of coruscant and Friendly fire from Anakin as he tried to destroy the buzz droids on Obi-wan’s ship.
It was released by Hasbro in 2004
Obi-wan’s Jedi starfighter has been re-released in more forms (clean, different colour, damaged with different colours) however the only version with this Grey and Red livery with these battle damages are the second production versions.
