Rare Puzzle
This print portrays Nathanial Currier and his second wife, the former Lura Ormsbee of Vermont, after their marriage in 1853. It was presented to him as a Christmas gift by his employees and he thought so highly of it he immediately order it into production. It proved to be a best seller, evoking as it does, a spirit of Christmas and homecoming and in 1974 it was selected by the US Postal Services as the source of its Christmas stamp.
