Vintage HAJI No. 1800 battery-operated Figure 8 Track Freight Train Set with headlight, made in Japan.
Presented in its original illustrated box and featuring a classic freight train design. Set includes a black locomotive with tender, yellow Shell tank car, red Great Northern caboose and figure-eight track.
The original box states the set contains:
• 1 locomotive
• 1 caboose
• 1 tender
• 1 tank car
• 4 straight tracks
• 6 curved tracks
• 1 crossover track
The locomotive has been battery tested. The headlight illuminates, however the locomotive did not move during testing. It is unknown whether this is due to the batteries/contact, servicing being required or a fault with the motor, so the motor function should be considered untested/non-working.
Vintage used condition with age-related wear. The original box has considerable storage wear, creasing, edge/corner wear and damage to the clear plastic window. Train pieces and track show signs of previous use and age. Please refer carefully to photos for contents and condition.
A fantastic display or restoration piece for collectors of vintage Japanese tin and battery-operated toys, model trains and railway memorabilia.
