Covid-19 Update | Selected Melbourne Stores Reopening

27/10/2020

To our Melbourne Salvos Stores Community,

We’re thrilled to be able to re-open our doors to you once again, as we welcome back our amazing community. You’ve been incredible whilst our stores have had to close again, and we want to take a moment to thank you for all the kind words our teams have received.

Like us, you have been eager for our stores to re-open and we have had lots of reports of customers having a look through our windows as our teams have prepared for re-opening. With this in mind, I am pleased to say that we will be opening as many of our stores as quickly as we can.

I am pleased to share that from Wednesday, October 28th, we will be re-opening the following stores, with more to come in the next few weeks. This means you will be able to shop and drop off your donations (most stores, selected hours).

Store opening days and hours have changed so please make sure to check our store locator

We are continuing to implement additional precautionary measures to ensure we can keep our teams, customers, and donors safe whilst they shop with us. These are:

We ask all our customers to please wear a face mask when they visit our stores, unless you have a lawful reason not to, and to maintain social distancing.

For anyone not ready to head back into our stores just yet, you can always shop with us online at salvosstores.com.au.

Most of our stores are set up to accept contactless donations (selected hours), so please drop off those donations that you’ve been holding onto whilst we have been closed. Give your nearest store a call to check their donation hours before making the trip.

Finally, we would like to encourage anyone who can spare a couple of hours each week to give us a hand by volunteering. We’re in need now more than ever, for some additional support to assist our stores to get back on their feet – from sorting donations through to serving customers you’ll make a huge difference and we are sure you’ll have lots of fun.

Blessings,

Matt Davis
